Do you have questions about this site for the webmaster?

It seems the entire World Wide Web has been created specifically for people who have the newest and best computers, everything says "Click Here". So, what do you do if you don't have a mouse to click with?

I have been designing websites since before there was a graphical world wide web. Nothing said "Click Here" back then. I resisted going that route for a long time and finally had to give in to the pressure. So many people are now surfing the web with the really terrific computers, so many are so inexperienced that if it doesn't say "Click Here" they don't know what to do.

Just because there are many wonderful computers surfing the web, I haven't forgotten my roots and I haven't left the websurfer without a mouse in the dark. One thing that we avoid on this site is confusion. Everything is marked as clearly as possible. When you see something that says "Click Here" you know that you either highlight it and press the enter key or right arrow on your keyboard.

A websurfer with a mouse has a distinct advantage. When their mouse pointer passes over a hyperlink, it changes from an arrow pointer to a hand. You don't have that advantage, you could miss some really fun hyperlinks. One way to be sure not to miss a hyperlink is to browse the web with your tab key. Instead of browsing a page with arrows, press your tab key and it will move you from link to link. Then when you see something that looks interesting you can follow it.
