The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Posse hosts the 45th Annual Mother Lode Round-Up on Mothers Day weekend. The primary event are the two days May 12th and 13th, 2001. Many special events lead up to Roundup Weekend. Here is a schedule of events.

It kicks off with the Round-Up parade. This parade is the second largest parade in the State of California. It is second only to the Rose Parade in Pasadena on New Years morning.

Everyone planning to see it in person needs to plan ahead. The city of Sonora has a population of about 5,000. During Round-Up weekend that population grows to close to 40,000. Parking is always a challenge, so plan on coming early and walking a little.

The parade is followed by a PRCA sanctioned Rodeo.
